How it began
A security problem worth solving.
Luminous Pillars was founded by Jens Christian Andersen after years of working with professional security technology and product development. He saw a recurring gap: modern systems had become very good at detecting, recording and alerting — but the physical response often still started later.
Cameras could verify an event. Radar could detect and track movement. Analytics could classify activity. Yet after all that intelligence had been created, many systems still depended on an operator or response team to change what was happening at the scene.
The question behind Luminous Pillars became simple: what if the security system could do more than observe the threat?
Why IntelliLight
Light became the response layer.
Traditional lighting makes an area visible. Traditional security observes what happens inside it. IntelliLight was created to bridge the space between the two.
The idea was to make light controllable, targetable and part of the security workflow. When a target is detected and verified, IntelliLight can align a selected illumination response to the same target — adding an active layer to the cameras, radar, analytics and security platforms already protecting the site.
Why IntelliCore
The light needed intelligence around it.
Building IntelliLight solved only part of the problem. An active response also needs context and coordination. The system has to understand what has been detected, where the target is, which zone it is in, what range applies and which response rules are allowed.
That is why IntelliCore was developed alongside IntelliLight. IntelliCore connects the security ecosystem — radar, PTZ cameras, analytics, VMS platforms, operator inputs and site rules — and coordinates the information needed for tracking, verification and response across one or more IntelliLight units.

Our goal is to give security teams an earlier opportunity to influence an event, gain time and support intervention before a threat reaches the people, infrastructure or assets they are protecting.
